Upscale project South Forbes Golf City is being boosted with new investments, an expanded landbank and novel directions to take advantage of opportunities in the booming real estate market.
Cathay Land President Jeffrey Ng announced that South Forbes will get an additional US$15 million in investments through their newest resort residential project called ´Phuket Mansions´.
"This is in response to the tremendous, overwhelming response we got for our first Asian modern tropical resort offering at Bali Mansions. We are offering bigger lots and bigger houses at Phuket Mansions to give Filipinos a glimpse of Thai splendor. We only have a limited number of lots in this prime enclave to ensure the utmost exclusivity," he declared.
The new investment is starting to pour into South Forbes, as the full-blast land development of Phuket Mansions has commenced, added Ng.
The main gate, which will be fully landscaped according to a tropical theme, and the perimeter walls are expected to be finished even before the actual selling period starts.
"This will give clients a ´feel´ of the Thai tropical lifestyle immediately," Ng shared.
In other developments, Ng proudly announced that the land bank of South Forbes has been expanded from the initial 250 hectares to 500 hectares of contiguous land in Metro Sta. Rosa.
"The raw lands were acquired through direct purchases as well as joint venture agreements which we will pursue with our corporate partners," he said.
The new land is expected to bolster Ng´s ultimate dream for South Forbes, which is to form what he likes to call the "Clusters of Excellence." After starting off with the highly successful Residential Cluster composed of unique themed enclaves such as the South Forbes Villas, Bali Mansions, Tokyo Mansions, Chateaux de Paris and now Phuket Mansions, Ng is seeking to develop as well the Education, Business, Wellness and Leisure Clusters within South Forbes Golf City.
"The synergistic contributions of all of these five clusters will not only make South Forbes a world-class fully integrated golf resort city. More important, these will help bring about a better quality of life for our privileged residents," Ng promised.
He foresees an Education Cluster that will house the best universities, schools and specialized institutions such as nursing and IT schools.
Altogether, these institutions will be the training ground for the manpower requirements of call center and business process outsourcing (BPO) companies in the future South Forbes Cyberpark and in the nearby Laguna Technopark.
"Our Education Cluster also strengthens Metro Sta. Rosa´s strategic position as the University Belt of the South," Ng added.
The Business Cluster, which includes the South Forbes Cyberpark, will feature world-class, built-to-specifications buildings suited for BPOs and call centers.
"These will enable our residents and their adult children to build careers within the growing city of South Forbes," according to Ng.
He also hinted that his company may relocate its corporate offices within the Business Cluster in the near future.
A Wellness Cluster is also being planned to include top hospitals, spas and specialist clinics to serve the wellness requirements of the young, adult and even of retiree residents.
"This is one important step in helping achieve Cathay Land´s vision, to help bring about a better quality of life for our clientele," Ng reiterated.
The Leisure Cluster will consist of South Forbes´ main attraction: an all-weather 18-hole South Forbes Golf Club designed by the International Management Group (IMG), one of Asia´s leading golf course designers.
Construction is progressing well and 11 holes are expected to open for play this March and all 18 holes are targeted for a full opening in December 2007.
A business-resort hotel; badminton, basketball, tennis, and squash courts; swimming pools, jacuzzi and other amenities make up the top-notch facilities at the Leisure Cluster.
