Big name Thai developers have confirmed their participation at the Home Buyers Expo 2010 in the hope of increasing sales volumes during the second half of the year.
Scheduled for August 19-22, the annual event will be held at Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre in Bangkok. A number of sales campaigns and promotions will be available to visitors, who will also be able to view some of the latest home innovations.
Borisud Kasinpila, Managing Director of organisers Home Buyers Guide Ltd, revealed most of the booth space was quickly reserved by local property developers. Key players in the market, including Land & House, Supalai, Property Perfect, LPN Development, and Chaophraya Mahanakorn, are confirmed exhibitors.
Borisud said: “We have received a very good response from developers this year, especially those who are listed on the Stock Exchange. It’s probably because they have to improve their sales performance and catch up lost revenues due to the political unrest. For listed developers, they still have to move forward by launching new projects as planned, so they will want to sell the projects that have already launched.”
According to a report from Asia Plus Securities, the value of new projects listed by developers on the Stock Exchange of Thailand this year is set to be THB230 billion (US$7.1 billion). Just 15 per cent of that total was achieved during the first quarter of the year.
