Winners revealed of the Thailand Property Awards 2010

The winners of the Thailand Property Awards 2010 were revealed at a glittering gala ceremony in Bangkok on Saturday night. More than 500 guests encompassing leading developers and agents from throughout Thailand gathered for what is widely recognised at the Oscars of the industry.

The Best Developer Thailand award was awarded to Golden Land, narrowly seeing off stiff competition from Minor International and Raimon Land.

The Real Estate Personality of the Year, chosen by the team at Property Report South East Asia magazine, was awarded to Khun Duangjai Kraus, Managing Director of Engel and Volkers.

Terry Blackburn, Chief Executive Officer of organisers Ensign Media said: “This was the fifth year of the Thailand Property Awards, and the standard of competition just gets better and better. This year we received more nominations and more entries than ever before and than speaks volumes about the state of the property and real estate industry in Thailand.”

Best Developer
Winner: Golden Land
Highly Commended: Minor; Raimon Land
Comment on Winner: In this very close decision, Golden Land was eventually selected for having achieved a good track record in construction and marketing of a diversified portfolio of properties.

Best Condo Thailand
Winner: St Regis Residences
Comment on Winner: Excellent quality and use of space, optimising an excellent site and with uncompromising standards of luxury and service make for an outstanding development.

Best Villa Eastern Seaboard
Winner: Horseshoe Point
Highly Commended: Silk Road; Baan Talay

Comment on Winner: The winner was selected above other contenders mainly due to its strong and original design concept and quality of construction.

Comment on Winner: Andara won on the basis of its excellent site and location features, its high quality of finishing and environmental features.

Best Housing Bangkok
